ICS on HTC Sensation

I recently upgraded my HTC Sensation to Android 4.0.3, aka Ice Cream Sandwich. The one major annoyance I have is that, often it would take several seconds for the display to wake up, after pressing the power button. I’ve never had this issue with the original firmware. I also noticed that the clock is displayed using a different font. Didn’t like it at first, but have gotten used to it now.

Other than that, I’m loving the HTC Sense 3.6. The task list and the data usage monitors are something I’ve always wanted. The Internet browser still leaves plenty to be desired; but that’s easily fixed by installing ICS Browser+ by Beansoft. There are plenty other UI changes, but nothing that particularly wows me. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the upgrade.

The Schrinkle

That’s my second Crumpler bag. I recently got it second-hand off TradeMe. I was glad to be saving some money, but wasn’t so impressed with the condition of the bag. The previous owner had gotten loose dirt all over the interior. Luckily, a cheap hotel toothbrush and some soapy water worked wonders. The interior now looks brand new.

I got the Schrinkle because I wanted a combined laptop and camera bag. The style of the bag means that you need to take it off your back in order to access the main compartment. Some might hate it, but its good for keeping your expensive gear safe during travels. I’ll be keeping my 6 Million Dollar Home for my normal day to day use; but I’m looking to get rid of my old laptop bag to recover some cash.

Crumpler bags are built tough, and the style looks good. It doesn’t look like your typical camera bag, but I bet thieves have caught on to that fact. That distinctive Crumpler logo is a dead giveaway, but hey… I like it.
